Lina Surianto launched a new series of workshops specifically designed for young speakers, focusing on building confidence, developing leadership skills, and discovering the power of their own voice. The youth workshop programme represents an important expansion of Lina's coaching practice into the next generation of communicators.

Why Youth Workshops?

Public speaking is consistently rated as one of the top fears among people of all ages — and that fear often starts in childhood. By introducing young people to public speaking in a supportive, encouraging environment, Lina helps them build confidence early, before fear has a chance to take root.

The workshops are designed to be interactive, engaging, and age-appropriate. Rather than traditional lecture-style teaching, students learn through games, storytelling exercises, impromptu speaking activities, and group presentations that make the learning experience fun and memorable.

What Students Learn

The youth workshop curriculum covers essential communication skills:

• Overcoming nervousness and stage fright
• Structuring a speech with a clear beginning, middle, and end
• Using body language and vocal variety effectively
• Active listening and responding to questions
• Leadership through communication

Impact Beyond the Classroom

The benefits of these workshops extend far beyond public speaking. Students who participate report feeling more confident in school presentations, more comfortable in social situations, and better equipped to express their ideas in everyday conversations.

"Young people have so much to say," Lina shares. "My job is to give them the tools and the confidence to say it. When a quiet, shy student stands up and delivers their first speech with pride — that's the most rewarding moment in coaching."

Upcoming Workshops

New youth workshop sessions are scheduled throughout the year. Workshops are available for small groups and can be customised for schools, community organisations, and private groups. Contact Lina to learn more about enrolling young speakers in the programme.
